A quote that I am actually proud of
“Working with Marcus has been a revelation. He’s opened up my mind allowing me to see my projects in a different light.”

About me
The first time I played Dark Castle on a Macintosh SE, I didn’t understand how it worked—I just felt it. The responsive controls, the immersive world, the way software could create wonder. That moment still guides how I build today.
For over 25 years, I’ve designed and developed frontend experiences that turn complexity into clarity, mostly in fintech. I’ve led authentication flows for millions of users, built scalable design systems, and aligned teams around user needs and technical constraints. But after decades in banking UX, I hit a wall. I thought I might be done with code—until I discovered AI-assisted workflows.
Tools like Windsurf reawakened that original spark: the joy of creation, the flow of solving problems. Now, I’m exploring how next-generation tools—AI copilots, design assistants, coding agents—can do more than automate tasks. They need to understand context, collaboration, and the human side of building. Because the best tools don’t just function—they feel right.
I use AI to support better decisions, smarter personalization, and faster iteration—but I never let it lead. People make software meaningful. That’s why I still focus on scalable design systems, inclusive UIs, and thoughtful testing. It’s why I named my company Blueberry Maybe—a reminder to stay curious, playful, and open to improvisation.
If you’re building something that values human experience as much as technical excellence, I’d love to connect.

DESIGN SYSTEM, 40+ reusable, accessible components
I designed in Framer and Vibe Coded with Lovable, Windsurf and Cursor a design system for fintech that uses simple constraints — 3 primary colors and modern fonts — to ensure consistency across 40+ components. All components in repo are documented in Storybook.
A PROJECT for a Friend
I thought this was about strategy. It was actually about trust.
Rob and me met through a local Business Lab. I noticed his website didn’t reflect how good his photography really is. So I offered to help — no contract, no expectations.
I help with your site. You maybe help me with copy — or take a photo of me someday, maybe unfair because I'm not an easy capture.
The payment, Rob shot my daughter and her friends in a session none of us will never forget.

Fun fact: I am a soul surfer since I was 17, windsurfing, kitesurfing and now wingfoiling. A few pics from me building my own kitesurf board in wood, using the hollowboard technique.
Why is this relevant? Because in any design the choice of tools and materials effects the work process.
